Board
The Community Futures British Columbia Board of Directors is comprised of 6 volunteer chairs, 2 General Manager Representatives and an Aboriginal advisor from one of the Aboriginal exclusive Community Futures.
Each year during the Community Futures Annual General Meeting half of the Board positions come up for election. In order to qualify for one of the volunteer positions, prospective candidates are required to be, Chair, Past Chair or Vice Chair of one of the 32 regular members of Community Futures British Columbia. Prospective candidates can complete a Board nomination form or be nominated from the floor of the AGM.
Manager Representatives are also selected during the Annual General Meeting. Each manager representative position is for two years, with one position coming vacant each year. They too are able to submit a nomination form in advance of the AGM or can be nominated from the floor. The Community Futures Aboriginal Representative is a volunteer board member from an Aboriginal exclusive Community Futures, and is of Aboriginal descent, including First Nations, Métis or Inuit.
