VISION - To serve our members and lead the network.
MISSION - Community Futures BC will provide leadership by contributing to the ongoing efforts of our members to achieve growth and service excellence.
Community Futures BC provides a communication link between Community Futures offices in BC and Western Economic Diversification, Community Futures Pan West, and Community Futures Network of Canada. The association promotes career opportunities in the network, in addition to facilitating meetings of the membership Chairs and Volunteers as well as others as required. Community Futures BC publishes a quarterly newsletter, Futurescape, to members of the network.
Community Futures BC supports Community Futures offices throughout BC in the delivery of the program by promoting their services via the Community Futures BC website. The public have access to information about the program, as well as a location finder, to assist them in finding the office that serves their community. Community Futures offices in BC have access to tools to help them in promoting their offices via the password protected Member's Area.
Representation & Advocacy
Community Futures BC provides consistent messaging to stakeholders to raise awareness of Community Futures Network of BC members as leaders in rural development.
Member Products and Services
Community Futures BC offers products and services to the Community Futures Network of BC that encourage operational efficiencies. Actively sharing best practices, gathering sample documents and policies and supporting the Community Futures Network of BC by providing research and facilitating access to various training opportunities.
Independent Client Services Review
In an effort to support our members in their commitment to client service, if you are unable to resolve your concerns through discussion with the General Manager at your local Community Futures office, Community Futures BC offers an "Independent Client Service Review" process. Independent Client Service Reviews are available to Community Futures' clients who feel they have not been treated fairly in regards to a loan decision, loan collection procedure, or who feel there was a conflict of interest in the decision making process.
