Programs for Entrepreneurs

In the 2006/07 fiscal year the BC Community Futures Program created or maintained more than 4,550 jobs, offering 606 loans that totaled $31 million, and leveraged an additional $53 million. Loans are available for new business start-ups, business expansion, or can be put towards stabilizing an existing business.

The range and magnitude of programs previously and currently managed by the Community Futures Network vary widely, from business development loans to entrepreneurial training to supports and services designed to address issues impacting rural communities at a local level. The diversity of programs and projects undertaken by the network is in direct response to the diversity of needs in rural BC. It is our connection to rural communities and our track record of successfully delivering initiatives that has lead the Community Futures Network in BC to be uniquely positioned to deliver future programs and services.
