Who We Are

Community Futures British Columbia is dedicated to promoting Truth and Reconciliation while fostering Indigenous inclusion in BC's economy. We support Indigenous entrepreneurs, celebrating their success and prosperity through diverse, equitable, and collaborative programs that contribute to more inclusive communities.

Community Futures is a federal government program mandated to deliver business development services in rural and remote non-metropolitan communities. The Community Futures program was established in Canada 1985 and Community Futures British Columbia (CFBC) opened in Mission, BC, in 1992.

CFBC is the provincial Association office for the 34 Community Futures offices located in BC. Each BC office is a member of CFBC, and their service areas cover communities in rural and remote BC.

CFBC and our member offices are part of the Community Futures Network of Canada, which represents 267 not-for-profit offices, each operating independently to serve their respective regions. As an Association for the province, CFBC is also a member of Community Futures Pan West, along with Community Futures Alberta, Community Futures Saskatchewan and Community Futures Manitoba.

Services are offered in-house from our Association office, through our 34 member offices or through our partners.

Funding for CFBC is provided by Pacific Economic Development Canada (PacifiCan)
