Annual Conference and AGM


Community and business leaders from across British Columbia will meet in Vancouver for the Annual Community Futures BC Conference.  This event is a valuable opportunity to connect with leading professionals and community leaders whose work supports small business and community economic development across the province of British Columbia


Annual General Meeting:

Each year during the Community Futures Annual General Meeting half of the Board positions come up for election. In order to qualify for one of the volunteer positions, prospective candidates are required to be, Chair, Past Chair or Vice Chair of one of the 32 regular members of Community Futures British Columbia. Prospective candidates can complete a Board nomination form or be nominated from the floor of the AGM.

Manager Representatives are also selected during the Annual General Meeting. Each manager representative position is for two years, with one position coming vacant each year. They too are able to submit a nomination form in advance of the AGM or can be nominated from the floor. The Community Futures Aboriginal Representative is a volunteer board member from an Aboriginal exclusive Community Futures, and is of Aboriginal descent, including First Nations, Métis or Inuit.
