Diane Campbell Interiors: Making Space

QUALICUM BEACH - Diane’s journey into interior design started in her childhood bedroom rearranging furniture. After moving to British Columbia in 2004, Diane managed an Ashley Furniture Home Store for years, gaining valuable knowledge about furniture selection, designing spaces, and developing an overall aesthetic.

Diane’s ability to turn any room into a warm and welcoming space soon resulted in her taking on clients as an interior designer. Her attention to detail and the time spent listening to and communicating with each client ensures she can create a space that will be loved for years to come. Her journey from a young girl with an interest in interior design to a successful business owner is an inspiring story for aspiring designers and entrepreneurs alike.

“If someone like me can do it, anyone can. It takes enthusiasm and confidence. I believe that it has to be something you enjoy doing and have great knowledge about it. The work experience comes in time, so that’s where the patience kicks in.”

- Diane Campbell, Owner of Diane Campbell Interiors

How EDP Helped

Diane initially connected with the Entrepreneurs with Disabilities Program (EDP) to create a business plan, but over time she utilized much more of the program to help build her dream. Diane attended workshops covering important topics for her fledgling business including an introduction to bookkeeping, digital marketing, and social media marketing. The EDP team kept in touch with Diane throughout the process to ensure she was making positive strides and were able to connect her with a business coach as she pivoted her plan to include moving to Vancouver Island.

What's Next?

Diane recently moved her business to Vancouver Island and her services area includes both Parksville and Qualicum Beach. Her services for clients include design consultation, property styling and staging, and project management. Diane continues to take on new projects and provide exceptional service for all of her clients.
