Planning for Regional Recovery and Disaster Resilience: The Role of the Economic Sector

As part of the Planning for Regional Recovery and Disaster Resilience in the Metro Vancouver Region, the Integrated Partnership for Regional Emergency Management (IPREM) has extended an invitation to Community Futures to participate in an upcoming workshop on The Role of the Economic Sector. The purpose of the workshop is to explore the needs, roles and networks of the Economic Sector in a pre-disaster planning state to promote business and community resilience within the Metro Vancouver region following a disaster. Invited participants include Business Improvement Associations, Local Government Emergency Program Coordinators, Economic Development Officers, Business Continuity Professionals, Chambers of Commerce, Boards of Trade, Economic Development Associations, Tourism Associations, and members of the business community.

The Integrated Partnership for Regional Emergency Management (IPREM) is an inter-governmental partnership between the Province of BC and the Metro Vancouver Regional District – comprising 21 municipalities, one Treaty First Nation and one Electoral area – with the intent to provide regional emergency management planning for the region.

This two-part workshop will review the basics of Excel spreadsheets. Save and identify an Excel document, explore and identify ribbon components, enter data, explore basic functions and use basic calculations.
