Help available for rural businesses impacted by economic downturns, thanks to $5.5 million in funding from the federal government

MISSION, B.C. - Community Futures BC is pleased to announce that it has received $5.5 million in funding from the Pacific Economic Development Agency of Canada (PacifiCan) to help businesses and enterprising not-for-profits that have been impacted by economic downturns in designated regions across rural British Columbia.

Assistance under the disaster recovery and economic adjustment initiative (DREAI) is free of charge, and includes access to Program Ambassadors who will work one on one with business owners in each of the designated regions to help them access the resources and assistance they need to adapt to a changing economy.

Other key components include a selection of online workshops, specialized training, coaching, and peer mentoring. Resources are available through the Community Futures Taking Care of Business website.
