Our Export Navigator program provides expert support to businesses looking to expand their market reach. Businesses receive personalized guidance on navigating complex trade regulations, managing tariffs, and understanding inter-provincial trade barriers. Experienced advisors offer tailored solutions to help businesses successfully enter and grow in regional, provincial and global markets while ensuring compliance and maximizing opportunities.

Barrier Reduction for Entrepreneurs with Disabilities

We have been creating and administering the Entrepreneurs with Disabilities Program since 1985, now part of our Accessible Entrepreneurship Services.

Business Succession Services for a Changing Demographic

Small businesses are vital to rural BC, and closures can impact entire communities. CFBC’s partner, Venture Connect, offers business succession services Canada-wide. Workshops and advising are available for government and economic developers to support business retention.

Business Startup and Growth Through Loan Programs

Through our agreement with PacifiCan, we manage a multi-million dollar lending pool to support business startup, purchase, and expansion. Loans are available only through our member offices and assessed by local volunteer committees.

We were also sleected by government to be the sole manager of the Regional Relief & Recovery Fund (RRRF) during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Business Skill Development Through Online Learning

myCommunityFutures is CFBC's adaptable online platform that expands access to workshops and webinars services, making it easier for rural and remote startups, businesses and social enterprises to get the support they need.

Indigenous-Delivered Indigenous Entrepreneurship Services

Community Futures provides specialized support for Indigenous entrepreneurs in BC, including financing, coaching, workshops, and education. Services are delivered by four Community Futures offices dedicated to serving Indigenous businesses.

WorkBC's Self-Employment Program

Select Community Futures offices in BC are contracted by the Provincial Government to deliver WorkBC’s Self-Employment Program. This program offers business coaching, entrepreneurial support, and financial assistance to eligible unemployed individuals as they develop and launch their business plans.

Economic Emergency Preparedness, Response and Recovery for Businesses

CFBC’s Rural Resiliency Initiative provides disaster relief and recovery services for rural BC entrepreneurs, along with ongoing business resiliency support for BC businesses. We collaborate with municipal governments to deliver tailored response and recovery solutions for businesses in rural and remote communities.
